Introducing Lifecycle Services
At the department Lifecycle Services, we focus on service and lifecycle support of the installations at our customers. With a team of customer-focused and skilled service professionals, we provide modification, review and maintenance through operational and technical support, advice and training. Our services support our customers for maximum performance and availability of the installations. As a result, they are able to permanently provide competitive products to their sales markets. Our department consists of about 35 employees divided into four teams: Field Services, Technical Support, Maintenance Support and Logistics & Parts.

As of today, the department Lifecycle Services is in need of a:

Field Service Specialist

As our CSi representative you are the CSi ambassador to our customers and continuously help our customers to improve the value of ownership of their installed base, with a focus on the delivery of excellent customer service & support.

You will be responsible for the advice on -and realisation of upgrades, updates, modifications and improvements of our installed base, the advice on -and realisation of preventive and corrective maintenance at mechanical and electrical level and to adequately act as the main responder to system -emergencies, malfunctions and problems.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, analyse and repair (malfunctions in) mechanical, electrical parts, (sub) system software.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, replace, re-adjust and maintain parts, machinery, electrical equipment and software such as motors, electrical circuits, material handling equipment, palletising and conveyor systems in accordance with diagrams, electrical drawings, operating manuals and manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Experience with maintenance work, mechanical and electrical. 
    Provides input and technical related support to quotations for maintenance and modification projects. 
  • Registration, reporting and documentation of activities performed.
  • Instruct and train customers’ crew with regard to the operation and maintenance of the equipment.
  • Prepare and execute service inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Support the customer via phone or modem/internet connection in case of malfunctions.
  • Attending to call outs, faults, alarms and warnings.
  • Participate in 24/7 support.
  • Communicate with various parties on the work performed and present status of the equipment.
  • Propose improvements for the quality of the service process and develop service supporting tools and means.

Your profile

  • You have a customer focussed and relation oriented attitude being a self-starting, proactive and highly motivated professional.
  • You understand the typical characteristics of service & support processes, you are experienced in the world of projects and have working experience in the world of intra logistic and product handling processes and equipment or packing equipment in the FMCG sector.
  • Good understanding of mechanical, electrical and controls engineering and the general maintenance concepts and strategies.
  • Accurate, analytic, flexible, stress resistant and result-driven.
  • Strong communication skills with an hands on mentality.
  • Willing to travel on a frequent basis.

  Your qualifications 

  • Bachelor mechatronics technology, industrial automation or similar.
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance in industrial automation.
  • Familiar with of Siemens S7/TIA portal, Allen Bradley and Backhoff PLC’s.
  • Familiar with of ASI-bus, Profi-bus, Profi-net and TCP/IP network solutions.
  • Knowledge of PC applications.
  • Good understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings and schemes.
  • Good understanding of relevant safety rules and regulations.
  • Good knowledge of English, German is an advantage.
  • Experienced in troubleshooting of PLC’s.
  • Basic knowledge of robotics technology
